New Aircraft Disinsection requirements for Egypt
Aircraft Disinsection rules
We have been informed about an update in Egyptian aircraft disinsection requirements: Direct flights arriving from specific countries* must now perform aircraft disinsection before landing in Egypt. Failure to comply will result in a $1,000 fine and potential escalation for repeat violations.
While there seem to be no official guidelines yet from the Egyptian Ministry of Health, local handlers confirm that aircraft arriving from these countries must perform top-of-descent disinsection and submit the spray cans to the authorities upon arrival, together with the general declaration of the aircraft and a list of passenger names.
Our Aircraft Insecticide ASD is the ideal product to meet these demands. It is fully compliant with the (former) WHO-recommended ‘Top-of-descent’ procedure and can be used for the current ‘Pre-departure’ cabin and cargo disinsection procedures. Good to know: other procedures are not legally possible for airlines from the European Economic Area.
