De-icing boots care
ShineMaster® Prep (3)
For preparation and cleaning: ShineMaster® Prep is a preparation cleaner designed to remove dirt, old protectants, and any contamination from the de-icing boots.
Apply 2 to 3 light coats for new boots. One pint covers approx. 18.6 m². Reapply as desired.
AgeMaster® No. 1 (4)
For protecting and conditioning, for neoprene de-icing boots only: AgeMaster® No. 1 is a rubber protectant that conditions and protects the de-icing boots from aging, UV degradation, and environmental wear.
Apply after 6 months for new boots. One quart covers approx. 8.3 m². Reapply every 150 flights hours (or 2 times / year).
ShineMaster® (5)
For polishing and shining: ShineMaster® is a protective polish that restores the shine to your de-icing boots, helping them maintain a “like-new” appearance and resist further soiling.
Apply as desired. One pint covers approx. 18.6 m².
Procedure
- Mask off application area to protect surrounding surfaces.
- Apply ShineMaster® Prep, ensuring that the surface is fully covered. In case of heavy build-up, allow 5-7 minutes of contact time before removing.
- Rub the boots with a wet sponge or a lint-free cloth. Rinse or swap out the cloth as it becomes dirty or saturated. Repeat until all residual coating and dirt are removed.
- Rinse with water and wipe dry with a lint-free cloth.
- OPTIONAL STEP: Apply three layers of AgeMaster® No. 1 with a lint-free cloth. Make sure to coat surface completely and evenly each time. Allow 5-10 minutes of drying time between each coat of AgeMaster® No. 1. (!) Important: Allow a 24-hour drying period before applying any other products or before flying.
- Apply ShineMaster®, with a lint-free cloth in a light, even coat. Apply in one direction and allow 5-15 minutes of drying time, until the surface is dry to touch. 2-3 coats are recommended to get the desired shine.

Performance enhancement
ICEX-II® is an anti-icing fluid that reduces ice adhesion on deicing boots, enhancing the boots’ performance in icy conditions.
Apply every 50 flights hours during icing season. One quart covers approx. 37 m².
ICEX-II® should always be the last product applied, if used in combination with other Goodrich® de-icing boot care products (after the care process or routine maintenance).
- Mask off application area to protect surrounding surfaces.
- Using a lint-free cloth, apply a light coat of ICEX-II® by wiping in a single continuous motion down the length of the boots. Do not apply too heavily.
