ICE-5 Fuel System Icing Inhibitor
Aircraft that lack fuel heating systems are vulnerable to the freezing of small amounts of autonomous water in the fuel, which may block fuel lines, filters and valves. When properly used, ICE-5 prevents water from icing in the fuel system. ICE-5 Fuel System Icing Inhibitor (FSII) is mixed in the fuel at rates of 0,07% up to 0,10% by volume according MIL-DTL-83133 or 0,10% up to 0,15% by volume according DEF Stan 91-91. One liter ICE-5 can treat from 660 litres (174 US gallon) up to 1429 litres (377 US gallon) of fuel. Mix thoroughly to avoid separation of the inhibitor and fuel.

ICE-5 FSII is mixed in the fuel at rates of 0,07% up to 0,10% by volume according MIL-DTL-83133 or 0,10% up to 0,15% by volume according DEF Stan 91-91. To avoid overdosing, check the ratio of DiEGME in the kerosene before using ICE-5. Mixing is required to avoid separation of the inhibitor and fuel.
Verify that the application conforms to the P.O.H. and the aircraft or engine manufacturer’s instructions. ICE-5 concentrate must not come into direct contact with the aircraft’s painted surfaces or the fuel tank’s coated interior.
